There is perhaps no subject that elicits more unfavorable judgment amongst travelers than that of reclining airplane seats – particularly when discussed in combination with the Knee Defender. And so it is a perfect subject for Judgment Week on ThreadTripping.

It seems that a couple of weeks ago the Hyatt Andaz Maui implemented a change to the breakfast option available to Diamond members – change being code for “dramatic reduction”. FlyerTalkers express their displeasure, and propose some interesting theories behind the change.
If a major news outlet decides to do a piece based on this thread, those of you traveling in first might get even dirtier looks from the economy-class passengers as they make their way past you while you are sipping what they can only imagine is a “free” pre-departure drink that costs more than their entire ticket.
Read any story published on a national news outlet about frequent flyers and you will invariably see commenters expressing their disgust at “entitled” frequent flyers who feel like they deserve “free” upgrades. What the non-frequent flyers don’t understand is that most frequent flyers don’t particularly care for the entitled types either
Even if you have never personally been invited to the cockpit, if you fly frequently there is a decent chance you might have seen someone else invited up. And there is an equally decent chance you might also have overheard some of your fellow, presumably less frequent flyers, make some grumblings about it.
It seems Hertz might be quietly expanding a service that it has been offering in at least a limited way for years. Namely, when you drop off your rental a Hertz agent will drive you to the terminal – and in some cases even back to your hotel – in the same car you just dropped off.
Debating which airline has the most dignified boarding process is like trying to decide if you would rather be mauled by a tiger or a grizzly bear. But some travelers believe Southwest has climbed to the top of this very short list.
Ok, YuropFlyer had a few drinks watching a game at the airport lounge between flights, vomited in the airplane lavatory while still at the gate, and was subsequently deemed “unfit to fly” and kicked off of his flight – but it sounds worse than it is. Really.
