The use of the word “decision” in the title is actually a bit mis-leading. You see, scoopie – the soon-to-be-husband – doesn’t have a travel decision to make at all. What he has is a life lesson that needs to be learned.
Italy gets a lot of love, and deservedly so. But just across the Adriatic Sea resides a country that is on par with Italy in many respects but enjoys far less trumpeting – Croatia. And butting right up alongside Italy is Slovenia – a country that might receive even less fanfare than Croatia.
Some native English speakers who are planning travel abroad can become almost obsessive about learning greetings in the predominant language of the country they are planning to visit. I know I do.
Where should we eat? It’s one of those age old questions, especially when traveling. We want something good and something local. We do NOT want a place designed to attract and trap the tourists.
