This thread on FlyerTalk has none of these attributes. This thread is all about the deals.

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are ‘Good Deals’ but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true ‘MR Deal’. ~tcook052

Though ostensibly a thread designed to help mileage runners find viable flights, there is certainly no reason why anyone who wants to find a good flight deal – albeit in economy class – couldn’t subscribe and receive updates whenever a new deal is posted.

Deals can and are posted for any and all city pairs, so if you do subscribe you are going to be alerted to a lot of deals that you won’t be able to take advantage of. But that just makes it all the more exciting when a deal from your hometown gets posted, doesn’t it?

And of course, if you come upon a great deal of your own, pay it forward and post it to the FlyerTalk thread. Even if you won’t be taking the trip yourself, someone else might be able to.
